  • Proof of language proficiency (e.g., German language course certificate, English language test results)
  • Academic qualifications (e.g., diplomas, transcripts)
  • Health insurance that covers you for the duration of your stay

Step 3: Apply Online or In-Person

  • Submit your visa application online through the German Embassy or Consulate’s website (if available).
  • Or, apply in-person at the German Embassy or Consulate.

Step 4: Biometrics and Interview

  • Attend an appointment at the German Embassy or Consulate (if required).
  • Provide biometric data (e.g., fingerprints).
  • Participate in an interview (if required).

Step 5: Wait for Processing

  • Wait for processing, which usually takes 3-12 weeks.
  • You can check the status of your application on the German Embassy or Consulate’s website.

Step 6: Visa Grant

  • If approved, your visa will be stamped in your passport.
  • You will receive an email with your visa details.

Step 7: Arrive in Germany

  • Arrive in Germany within the validity period of your visa.
  • Present your passport and visa to the immigration officer.
